A midwife and lactation educator recommends the PowerPump electric breast pump as the number 1 pump for starting breastfeeding. „This multifunctional device, despite its small size and light weight, offers a wealth of possibilities. It works perfectly at every stage of lactation. As both a midwife and a mom, I value this device for its simplicity, hygiene, and functionality. I highly recommend it to every mom!”
The exceptionally light and powerful pump is one of the lightest on the market, efficiently expressing milk with suction power up to 42 kPa.
It’s exceptionally quiet – at the highest setting, it reaches a maximum of 50 decibels.*
The PowerPump features 4 operating modes based on the natural two-phase sucking rhythm of a baby: stimulation, expression, lactation mode, and mixed-automatic mode. With a 15-level suction adjustment in each mode, the pump offers a total of 60 suction settings, allowing for precise customization to each mom's individual preferences. The pump remembers the last used settings and will automatically start in the same modes during the next use.
The soft and flexible funnel rim adapts to different breast shapes. Interchangeable funnels and reducers in various sizes are available, perfect for moms with larger or smaller nipples. The correct funnel size ensures optimal milk flow, contributing to comfort and effective milk expression.

The PowerPump offers 3 milk expression options: into the included 180 ml container, into the Canpol babies EasyStart anti-colic bottle with an adapter (sold separately – catalog number 59/005), or directly into the Canpol Babies by difrax S-shape anti-colic bottle.

Easy to assemble and clean – the small number of components allows for quick assembly and thorough cleaning. All parts that come into contact with milk can be sterilized multiple times. All components are free from harmful BPA (bisphenol A), making them completely safe for health and suitable for direct contact with food, including breast milk. The simple control panel with an LED display and three buttons makes navigation intuitive. Additional backlighting makes it easier to use the pump at night. The exceptionally easy removal of the control panel ensures greater stability of the bottle when set down. This prevents the bottle with the funnel from tipping over, even when it contains milk, making it much easier to use.
Midwife tip for more comfort when starting to express: Start the expression session at the first mode and gradually increase the suction power. If you experience discomfort, reduce the suction power by one level.
*Sample sound level: 40-45 dB – fridge, 58 dB – microwave, 60 dB – dishwasher.

During pregnancy, your breasts already produced food in the form of colostrum, but it was only after the birth of the child that the body launched the so-called "lactation control function".

You must have heard people say that it is difficult to breastfeed after a c-section as there is no milk in the breasts. Nothing could be further from the truth. A signal that triggers your body to produce milk is when a placenta is discharged and this happens both during vaginal and Cesarean birth, just in a slightly different way.
